Sadia Afrin

Sadia Afrin is an accomplished academic and ongoing PhD scholar in Bangla Language at the University of Dhaka, specializing in Comparative Language and Dialect. She holds both BA and MA degrees from the same institution and currently serves as a Senior Lecturer at the University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB). With over Seven years of teaching experience across institutions including Southeast University and Bangladesh Glorious College, she brings deep expertise in Bangla language and literature.

Her scholarly work includes several peer-reviewed publications covering topics such as postcolonial narratives, geopolitics, gender studies, and ecofeminism. In addition to her teaching and research, she actively contributes to academic and administrative development through her involvement in curriculum design, cultural event coordination, and committee roles focused on Outcome-Based Education (OBE) and academic governance.

Sadia is proficient in using a range of educational and research tools, including Zotero, Turnitin, and Microsoft Office, and has participated in numerous national and international workshops on pedagogy, digital learning, and research methodology. Her dedication to academic excellence, research innovation, and student engagement positions her as a dynamic and forward-thinking educator in the field.

1. Working on a PhD program under the research title “প্রমিত বাংলা ভাষা ও নোয়াখালীর উপভাষা: তুলনামূলক বিশ্লেষণ।” (Standard Bangla and the Noakhali Dialect: A Comparative Analysis) in the 2023–24 session at the Department of Linguistics, University of Dhaka.
2. Nominated for the Bangla Academy three-month research paper (second stage) and awarded the Bangla Academy Research Scholarship. The research paper is titled “পরিবেশ নারীবাদ: রবীন্দ্রনাথ ঠাকুরের ‘পোস্টমাস্টার’ ও ‘স্ত্রীর পত্র’ ছোটগল্পের পুনর্পাঠ।”
